Saw them on Sunday at Bumbershoot. Pretty cool. Lots of mixed reviews. This one is pretty accurate from the Kitsap Sun.
"Scott Weiland showed up 30 minutes later than the scheduled set time. He actually had to take a tour bus to the stage. No joke, the tour bus actually pulled up to the side of the stage 25 minutes after the set was supposed to begin. I envisioned the three non-Weiland members of STP reviving him from a coma with a needle of adrenaline a la Uma Thurman and John Travolta in “Pulp Fiction.” Sadly, knowing STP’s reunion tour’s history, that scenario could actually have been what was happening.
But that’s just the start of things. The set began with “Big Empty,” which is kind of a lame way to start a set when you have as many powerful arena rock songs like STP does, and from there Weiland and crew delivered one of the worst performances I have seen by a major recording artist.
Weiland himself seemed to be somewhat able to perform. He was shimmying and swaying and dancing all over the stage. He even said a few things to the crowd. I’d love to tell you what he was saying but for the most part his mumbling was indecipherable except for when he said he visited Bumbershoot in 1990 as a spectator. "

Sean and I actually enjoyed the show. Scott Weiland is a rockstar diva and I thought for sure they did a switcheroo on us in the beginning. It didn't look or sound like Scott and I kept telling Sean That's not him! Perhaps it was the crappy song they started with. Anyway. We enjoyed. And it's fun to watch Scott on stage, he's almost like spider man the way he gets down and shimmy and sways like the Kitsap Sun said. Incredibly entertaining. That's all that matters right. We took some photos but none compare to this.
Here's our pictures :-(
So there you have it. It was worth it. Chris Rock last week was fun too. He's a funny guy. Kid Rock on the 10th Baby! Can't wait!
