Gingersnap Creations Challenge #42: Spicy Supply - Lace / Fibers

Let's see. First off. See the challenge HERE! And as most of you know, The Artistic Stamper is the sponsor for Gingersnap Creations this month. The rubber is amazing and deeply etched and beautiful!

My card is interesting. At least for me. The black cardstock base I dabbed metallic silver paint on it then sponged my Heart Background with versamark. Then sprinkled UTEE on it and it blew all over my laundry room. I don't get UTEE sometimes. The effect was sort of a crying. Rainy wet looking background. Awesome I tell ya. I was pleasantly surprised at my failure results. If you wanna see it IRL come on by!

The big heart is grungeboard. Again layered with silver metallic acrylic paint and UTEE. I just kept heating the UTEE and pouring more on. Getting frustrated all the while that it was blowing everywhere. I have UTEE in my eyelashes still. I must ask Suze what to do :/ If anyone has advice PLEASE feel free to fill me in.

So the gems are from somewhere. Sorry. The black crochet is May Arts. The lace beneath I don't know. It was rather greyish so I spritzed it with silver Spray Smooch. Very kewl!

My image is from the Artistic Stamper Twenties Plate. I did the Faux Carnival Glass by Zeborah Loray from After Midnight Stamps. On midnight art glass you heat opals, lay fantasy film over hot opals, layer, ink your stamp. I chose brilliance graphite black. Reheat your glass with opals. Smash your stamp in to it. Walk away. Clean up while it cools. Then. Lift your stamp. I was pleased. Very fun! Please click above to view Zeborah's tutorial. And After Midnight Stamps has many others to intrigue and challenge the mind. Do visit and play/ Not affiliated just adore everyone involved.

Please do play along with the challenge! There are challenges for yahoo group members that I think you would enjoy.  You can join by going here

I don't visit often, but when I do you amaze me how you're always changing, I just love this one...if you figure out UTEE tricks, do share. I do find that using it in a shallow box helps keep it from flying around too much...off to see more!
