Gingersnap Creations Challenge #57 - Wings

The theme at Gingersnap Creations this month is flight and this week's challenge is to make something with wings. I'm at a stage in my life where I need to soar and grow, take flight so to speak, yet there is lots of confusion and indecisions. I thought journaling would help and somehow this composition book came together. It suits me. I like it.

The gorgeous image is from the Winged Women collage sheet from Altered Pages. I positively love that collage sheet. It is layered on Black Crepe Ruche and wings from Tim Holtz grungeboard that I just sort of slathered with acrylic paint. Did I say I love acrylic paints :) I couldn't find any background papers in my stash that I liked (imagine that) so I took my Red Crepe Ruche and slathered some acrylic paints on that too! I loved how it turned out. It was perfect for what I wanted. The hardware, ribbon and chipboard were in my "stash" so I don't know where they are from.

I still need to do a drawing for the winner of the Altered Pages digital collage sheets and paper from Paper Temptress. Leave a comment here and you will be entered. Last day!

Okay thanks for stopping by! Now gGet yourself on over to Gingersnap Creations to view eye candy from the DT. Get caught up challenges and find how you YOU can become a Ginger Gem!

Oh, GF, I SOOO identify with your need to grow and take flight! How I would love to have my own crystal ball so I could see if the future shows if I'm 'there' yet!

Your journal is sooo you!!! So full of creativity and inspiration! It's amazing what you can do with a bottle of acrylic paint, some grungeboard, and that ever fabulous Ruche paper! Mix all that with this gorgeous image and watch you create a masterpiece!!! Just unbelievable! What talent! :)
